I Find Hope
I find hope in people I find it in the way the light changes through one day I find it in the running of a hunting dog set loose in a park tireless swooping laps for a quarter hour, between the oaks— With each lap my hope grows I find it in the times when I work with what I have and whatever I was working on turns out good enough I find hope in a well tied knot that I Learned to tie through need and does all it needs by being really itself: just a knot I have hope that I will one day have all this figured out And I can be like a knot, to know my purpose and happy with constraint
For me this touches on contentment, ego, change, and relationships. I had been thinking a lot about what my abilities are. Do care and compassion matter? I think they do. But the kind of care I wish I could give, is often beyond my abilities to understand a pathway towards. So to be happy with constraint, is to be understanding of limitations and barriers. The knot brings forward the feeling of tension within this decision, and the imperfect nature of having to choose something when options abound.
