Breakers

I asked
for peace
for years.
The answer:
the present. Right here
A sparrow eats seed 
and raises his crest
hurries his feet
click on the corrugated tin sheet.
Water           in a basin
reflects soft light on the clouds.
Peace.
The answer:
This moment.
Right here.
